Terms of service
Last updated: 22 July 2026
These terms set out the rules for using the Greenlight app. By creating an account you accept them.
1. Provider
The service is provided by Dariusz Biel. Contact: [email protected].
2. What the service is
Greenlight is an app that supports language learning from TV series. Before an episode, the app compares its vocabulary against your personal dictionary, reports an estimated percentage of dialogue you'll understand, and prepares flashcards for the missing words. Greenlight is not a streaming service — it does not provide episodes or subtitles and does not replace the services where you watch content.
3. Requirements
You need an iPhone running iOS 17.0 or newer and an internet connection to analyse an episode.
4. Account
Using the app requires an account created with an email address. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. You may delete your account at any time from within the app or by contacting us.
5. Free and Pro plans
- Free plan: 1 episode analysis per day and access to 3 series. Flashcards, reviews and the placement test are unlimited.
- Greenlight Pro: no daily episode limit, the full library and detailed vocabulary statistics.
6. Subscription and payments
The Pro subscription is billed by the App Store under Apple's terms. Prices shown in the app and on the site are planned prices; the App Store always confirms the actual amount before purchase. A subscription may include a free trial. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel the subscription in your Apple account settings — not with us.
7. Right of withdrawal
Digital content is supplied after performance begins with your consent, which under consumer-protection law may entail loss of the right to withdraw from the contract. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.
8. Acceptable use
You agree to use the app lawfully and not to disrupt its operation — in particular not to attempt to bypass the Free-plan limits or gain unauthorised access to any systems.
9. Liability
The estimated comprehension percentage and the episode difficulty rating are auxiliary and indicative. We make reasonable efforts to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or specific learning outcomes.
10. Complaints
You can report complaints about the service to [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time. Complaints about App Store payments are handled by Apple.
11. Changes
We may change these terms for valid reasons (e.g. a change of features or legal requirements). We will announce changes in the app or on this page. The date at the top shows the last update.
12. Governing law
Matters not covered here are governed by Polish law and applicable consumer-protection rules.
